7-Eleven Is Handing Out Free Slurpees Today
In the world of convenience stores, the best day of the year is obviously July 11. To some, this unremarkable summer date in July just means another day of posting up beside the air conditioning; for others, it’s the blissful 7-Eleven Day: a day to celebrate and immortalize the birth of 7-Eleven with free (yes, free!) Slurpees.
On this eagerly awaited, sacred day when 7-Eleven’s name seamlessly lines up with the date, participating 7-Eleven US stores are handing out free Slurpees—those blitzed, neon-hued frozen drinks—to commemorate the beloved convenience store’s 91st birthday on this planet. This year, the featured Slurpee flavor is Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries, a cotton-candy-blue swirled concoction. Fear not, though, if bright blue, cereal-filled drinks are not your thing; you can also get a small cup of any of their other drinks as part of the same deal. Slurpees will be free between 11am-7pm (see what they did there?), while supplies last.
As another added perk, 7-Eleven is extending festivities with $1 Big Bite hot dogs on July 11, as well as a week later on July 18, which is National Hot Dog Day. The Reaper—an aptly named, fiery hot dog crowned with Carolina Reaper seasoning—will join the rankings as the featured Big Bite dog. Customers can also choose to load their hot dogs (also for free!) with ingredients from the condiment bars: cheese, pickles, chili, jalapenos, onions, relish, pico de gallo, and more.
But thankfully 7-Eleven’s birthday doesn’t just end when the clock strikes midnight. Come July 12, 7 Deals in 7 Days commences for 7Rewards members—a week-long promotion of buy one snack, get another free (which includes can’t-miss bargains like purchase a share-size bag of 7-Select gummies, get a free Reese’s). If you’re not yet a member, just download the app to cash in on a wealth of literally sweet deals. Between free Slurpees and seven days worth of sugar and snacks, 7-Eleven certainly knows how to guarantee a stellar birthday party. And a bunch of blissed out, brain-freezed customers.
