A Couple’s Guide to Green Bay, Wisconsin
Whether it’s relaxing at a spa, enjoying a candlelit dinner, or toasting at a wine tasting, here are a few tips for couples in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Enjoy some local wine
You don’t have to be a wine connoisseur to enjoy a great wine tasting. While Door County, which is known for its excellent wine, is only about an hour’s drive away, be sure not to overlook the great wineries located right in Green Bay. The Captain’s Walk Winery offers very reasonably priced wine tastings in a laid-back environment. Learn about the different types of wine and relax on their outdoor porch while sipping your favorite. Ashwaubenon’s first winery, Mona Rose Winery, lies near a popular bike and walking trail, making it a perfect stop for active couples to try some wines unique to the area. If your partner loves wine, but you’re more of a beer person, The Bottle Room in Suamico might be the perfect compromise with over 75 fine wines and craft beers available by the glass.
Eateries that are worth a visit
Green Bay has a number of delicious restaurants to choose from that have both ambiance and satisfying dishes to share with your loved one. A’Bravo Bistro & Wine Bar considers itself to be an upscale deli, but their food oozes more sophistication than that description would let on. They also have a great wine and cocktail selection that pairs well with their list of entrées.
For a formal dining experience in a casual atmosphere, plan a candlelight dinner at Chefusion. Not only is the food noteworthy, but the restaurant’s interior is reminiscent of a classic European bistro. For a true Italian experience though, nothing beats the authentic cuisine of Angelina Restaurant. For special occasions, the Republic Chophouse has the finest steaks around.
Spend some quality time relaxing together
Surprise your sweetheart with a solo spa day or partake in a relaxation experience together, either will be greatly appreciated by your other half. Green Bay’s Elite Aesthetics Wellness Spa offers some fantastic couple’s packages including champagne, chocolates, and a number of treatments. Kohler Waters Spa is a co-ed facility, so you can spend all day together lounging in their state-of-the-art Hydromassage Experience Pool or sweating it out in the sauna.
