Although the park closes at midnight, it is best to arrive early to catch the Creatures of the Night Show (the last show is scheduled at 10.30pm). After that, board a 40-minute tram and traverse through six different geographical regions designed inside the safari or embark on simple trails to see exotic nocturnal species such as the Malayan tapir.

Science Centre Observatory is one of the few observatories located next to the Equator, meaning your stargazing experience will grant you views of constellations in both the northern and southern celestial hemispheres. However, due to limited space at the main telescope, visitors are required to obtain a Q card to access the observatory. These cards are distributed after 7.30pm at the registration counter based on a first-come, first-served basis.

The no-frills Chinese restaurant has been around since 1962 and offers an extensive selection of Cantonese and Shanghainese-style dim sum. Do not leave the restaurant until you have tried their one-of-a-kind mee sua kueh – a vermicelli radish cake that is deep-fried till it is golden and crispy.
