The Most Budget-Friendly Hotels in Tagaytay
Tagaytay is where Filipinos go for a break from the heat of Manila. The city’s cool climate is down to its altitude – 660m (2,180ft) above sea level – and its lofty landscape is home to the active Taal Volcano and the lake it encases. There are resorts to suit even a tight budget, as well as stylish shipping container rooms and everything in between.
Containers by Eco Hotel Tagaytay
Eco Hotel
Located outside the centre of Tagaytay is Containers by Eco Hotel. As the name suggests, the accommodation is made from repurposed shipping containers, fitted with windows, comfortable beds and basic furniture – not to mention stylish design touches. Those travelling in a group should consider the family rooms, equipped with bunk-style beds that can accommodate as many as six guests, while couples can choose a queen room. A restaurant and rooftop deck provide a bit of extra space.
Quest Hotel Tagaytay

It doesn’t get more central than the Quest Hotel Tagaytay. Located a short walk from the city’s main Rotunda Junction, the hotel offers spacious, clean, stylish rooms and suites with a contemporary feel. There’s a pool and sundeck, as well as in-house dining. You’re a short walk from the Fora Mall, which offers more dining options, shopping and entertainment.
The Serviced Residences at Kasa Luntian

Tagaytay’s View Park Hotel has a colonial-era feel, with classic design elements and plenty of natural light. The apartment-style accommodation is kitted out with elegant tables and chairs, plus sofas in the suites. There’s also a bunk room and a karaoke booth for groups, but you’ll most likely be drawn to the expansive, inviting central pool area. The hotel is conveniently located a short drive away from central Tagaytay.
Brizo Hotel and Beach Resort

Resembling an inland Greek village, Tagatay’s Brizo Hotel and Beach Resort is a few miles northeast of central Tagaytay. There is one main whitewashed structure housing a variety of rooms, from dorms to suites, all featuring simple, handsome furniture, plenty of space and balconies. The ‘beach’ referred to in the resort’s name is actually a central swimming pool, and you’ll also find basketball and table tennis facilities.
Royale Parc Hotel Tagaytay
Hotel
Located just south of the town’s main junction is Royale Parc Hotel Tagaytay. There’s a variety of room types, all of which have lots of space, contemporary furniture and subtle design elements. Rooms face a central pool, which is where you may end up spending much of your time. It’s also a short walk to downtown Tagaytay, where there’s ample shopping and dining.
Lakeview Suites
Hotel
A former private rest house experiencing a new lease of life as a boutique bed and breakfast, Lakeview Suites offers a charming, homely accommodation choice in Tagaytay. Tagaytay’s Carmelence Lodge takes the form of two handsome villas. The four rooms are subtle and sunny, featuring simple, well-designed furniture, lots of natural light, spacious bathrooms, balconies and kitchenettes. The rooms are positioned in the quietest sections of the villas, and there’s a flower garden for guests. Located just southeast of central Tagaytay, it’s a short taxi ride or a fairly long walk into town.
Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay
Glamping
Cruise ship cabins are the inspiration for the rooms at Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay. They are built with eco-friendly materials including home-made bricks and come with sustainably farmed pinewood beds, not to mention vintage and upcycled furniture.
