Put August 13 in your calendars, food lovers. It’s the premiere event of the DFW food season, and one you won’t want to miss. Involving delicious, upscale food at an affordable price, it’s time for DFW Restaurant Week.

From August 13 to September 3, 150 restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area will be offering huge discounts on lunch and dinner with some of the proceeds going to two non-profits: the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas and Lena Pope in Fort Worth. In 2017, DFW Restaurant Week raised nearly $796,000 for these non-profits, and they’re looking to top that number this year.

So, what do you need to know about DFW Restaurant Week?

Those dates don’t sound like a week

Because it’s not! DFW Restaurant Week is three weeks long, allowing for people to have an opportunity to try as many of the restaurants on the list as possible. And that’s just one of the awesome deals.

What are the discounts?

During DFW Restaurant Week, you can eat at any of the 150 restaurants for $20 at lunch or $39-$49 at dinnertime. This is huge in terms of savings when you consider how much it would actually cost to eat at some of the upscale restaurants on the list.

And the list includes…

The list came out on July 16 and comprises restaurants like Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, Kenny’s East Coast Pizza, Al Biernat’s, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Mercury Chophouse, Queenie’s Steakhouse, and more.

What’s on the menu?

Most of the participating restaurants will have a set menu to order from that usually consists of three or four courses with one including wine pairings. Take Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse, for example. First course options feature smoked salmon or Louie’s Venison Roll Ups, made with bacon-wrapped venison, jalapeno, and smoked mozzarella brushed with molasses Dijon and grilled. Second course offerings include steak frites, lamb chops, and chicken fried lobster, while dessert is between a chocolate torte or a pineapple carpaccio.

There’s a new feature coming out this year where some of the restaurants will offer “Specialty Bites.” Kenny’s East Coast will be doing this for their Chicken Parmesan Pizza, which is fried chicken breast topped with melted mozzarella and served alongside spaghetti and house-made red sauce.

This sounds amazing – how can I participate?

Make a reservation — today! You don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to experience these amazing restaurants during DFW Restaurant Week. Check out the list, tell your friends, and call your favorite restaurants for a reservation. Your taste buds and wallet will thank you.
