These 10 establishments throw practicality to the wind—they might be most populated just two months of the year (summers in Portland tend to go from the beginning of July to the beginning of September). 10 Barrel Brewing

10 Barrel Brewing may have been born in Bend, but it’s become a staple in Portland too. The brewery’s Pearl District location boasts a rooftop bar with views of neighboring downtown. With 20 beers on tap, it’s a perfect place to cool down on a hot summer night. Not a beer person? 10 Barrel also mixes some tasty cocktails and offers a wine list.

Noble Rot

Noble Rot considers itself an ecosystem, and it’s not wrong. The fourth-floor wine bar/restaurant not only has a rooftop bar, but it also has a rooftop garden. As its website states, “a glacial well hydrates the building and the 3,000-square-foot garden on the roof. The vegetables grown there supply the restaurant.” The establishment has been a staple of the Kerns neighborhood for the past 16 years and is a wonderful place to soak in the city skyline while filling your belly with local eats and delicious drinks.

The bar is perched on the roof of a high school-turned-concert venue and boasts a 360-degree view of Portland and the West Hills. It is also available to rent for private parties, including dinner parties, buffets, and receptions.

Radio Room’s upper deck can sit 60 and has standing room for 80 patrons. It’s truly a Portland rooftop, as half the space is covered and equipped with heaters and a fireplace. New Seasons Woodstock
