Whether you head straight for twisty water slides for a splashing good time or prefer a scenic beachfront view while you soak, here are Culture Trip’s pick of the 10 best swimming pools in Singapore.

Tanjong Beach Club

For beach bunnies who love the sea breeze but hate salt water, the beachfront pool in Sentosa’s famous Tanjong Beach Club is the best way to enjoy the sun and sand without stepping foot into the ocean. Laze on the sand and enjoy a cold beer in the day, indulge in fine seafood under the stars and get your boogie on once the party music starts pumping on the weekends.

This Hawaiian eatery on Siloso’s beach celebrates the spirit of island living and is a favourite spot for weekend visitors to Sentosa who love their beachfront cabanas and all-night parties with international DJs. Patrons also love soaking in Ola’s in-house pool on the beach with a perfect view of more adventurous patrons indulging in watersports such as jetblading and jetskiing in the nearby sea.

Aerotel Singapore

Here’s one of the things that makes Singapore’s Changi Airport so special – it is the only airport hotel in Asia that anyone can access even if you only have a few short hours to spare. For a small fee, you can spend your layover taking a dip at the Aerotel Singapore’s rooftop pool in Terminal 3. Get a sun tan or soak in the jacuzzi as you watch the planes take off from the runway right beside you – just make sure not to miss your own flight!

Wild Wild Wet

One of Singapore’s more established water theme parks, Wild Wild Wet has a wide variety of water slides and rides for the whole family. Its main attractions are the four-storey-high speed slides and the signature Royal Flush ride, keeping adrenaline hunters coming back for more. A perfect spot to while away a hot afternoon, Wild Wild Wet is a part of Downtown East; a larger recreational hub where you can stay in a resort-like location away from the city centre.

Splash-N-Surf

Splash-N-Surf is located on the roof of Kallang Wave Mall, right next to the National Stadium and amidst the sports hub. Leave your kids at the Water Play area and chill out by floating along their lazy river for just S$2 (US$1.50). And if you’re up to it, they even have a man-made wave pool where you can try out a little skimboarding and waveboarding.

Jurong East Swimming Complex

Want to enjoy a water theme park without paying the marked-up prices that come along with tourist attractions? Make the journey to Singapore’s western residential district of Jurong East – since its opening in 2000, Jurong East Swimming Complex has offered fun facilities including a lazy river, slides and a wave pool, all at affordable public pool rates!

Jurong West Swimming Complex

Jurong has not one but two massively fun swimming complexes, and this one is in the far west close to Pioneer. The long journey is worth the effort as this swimming pool complex has a play area for children, a lazy river and one of the longest slides in a public pool. And in case of Singapore’s unexpected tropical rain, there is a large sheltered pool area as well.

Pasir Ris Swimming Complex

Pasir Ris Swimming Complex has the requisite slides and a water playground for a splashing good time, and even a jacuzzi to soak your tired muscles, but what’s interesting is that it was designed to be energy-saving and environmentally conscious, with many features that irrigate their signature (and Instagrammable) green walls and the plants surrounding the pool area.

Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex

Choa Chu Kang is a residential district in northwest Singapore that doesn’t see many casual visitors dropping by, but it is home to a great swimming complex. Serious swimmers can enjoy laps at their competition-ready pool, while those looking for some fun will love the super-long twisty slide and their wave and spa pools.

Sengkang Swimming Complex

Children will love the variety of colourful and twisty slides that they can find at Sengkang Swimming Complex, while adults will appreciate the jacuzzi to relax in while keeping an eye on them. Equipped with both and outdoor and sheltered pools, you can swim here rain or shine, which explains why this place can get crowded with learner swimmers, especially on weekends.
