Being the capital, Warsaw is always going to be the most 24-hour city in Poland. The train and bus stations are open 24 hours, with many connections within Poland and beyond. Similarly, the city’s main airport has early morning and late-night flights, so people are always coming and going. For those who find themselves in central Warsaw at odd times of the day (or night), this list of 24-hour venues will ensure you can still find a decent draft beer, a bite to eat or a frothy coffee no matter what time it is.

The eponymously named Bar Warszawa is nicely located in front of Warsaw’s Old Town entrance and is open 24 hours a day, except for certain Polish holidays. From the front, you get a view of Plac Zamkowy, which is where the Royal Castle and Zygmunt’s Column sit. The venue is split into four parts: the outdoor beer garden (summer only), the main bar, the upstairs bar and the back bar. All four locations offer good Polish food and drinks, all through the night. On weekends, there is live music, and you can keep drinking until the sun comes up. Prices are also very reasonable for a venue so central. With beers and snacks from 8 złotych (€2), it won’t break the bank either.

A little hidden treasure across the river from Warsaw’s Old Town is Bazar Klub in the up-and-coming Nowa Praga (New Prague) district. Bazar, which is in a renovated building, advertises itself as the only place on this side of the river where you can get food and drink 24 hours a day on the weekends. This means you can grab a 4am shot and a bit of Polish food from the diverse menu. The bar itself also specialises in whiskey and cocktails. The staff members are very welcoming and speak English well.

City 24 is one of the most famous 24-hour bars in Poland. Located on the central Aleje Jerozolimskie street, it’s a nighttime hangout, a breakfast bar and a daytime venue all in one. This is an American-style diner that has truly cornered the 24-hour niche amongst Warsaw residents. The stylish venue is decorated like any bar in New York City or Chicago might be, with its cushioned sofas, bar stools and pictures of Elvis and Michael Jackson adorning the walls. The menu boasts a tremendous range of pub grub and some Polish treats, too. From greasy cheeseburgers to Polish kanapki sandwiches to Tex Mex food. Indeed you can enjoy a quesadilla at 4am while knocking back American whiskey, or alternatively pop in at 5pm after work for a classic pizza and a craft beer.

Pub PrzejScie is a cellar-style bar that also just happens to be one of Warsaw’s 24-hour pubs. This place is open all year round, closing only for important holidays, meaning you can pop in and grab a beer even at 4am. The bar dishes up a range of Polish beers on tap, as well as plenty of bottled beer options from within Poland and beyond. It’s a dark, dimly lit venue that can also be relaxing and quiet depending on the time you call. You never really know what to expect either – sometimes Pub PrzejScie can have a quiet evening, other times it might be lively even at 8am. Food-wise, expect pub grub such as pizzas and French fries.

Winners Sports Bar is a stylish 24-hour bar in Warsaw. This is perfect for sports fans wishing to have a drink and some good food while watching sport from a different time zone. You could be having your breakfast and a beer at 8am watching American football or basketball from the USA, or having a night out while watching European Champions League football. The bar has some cool items up around the walls and in cases such as football shirts, boxing gloves and football scarves. All Polish national football team matches are shown live, as well as Polish Ekstraklasa, Champions League and English Premier League. The bar has a typical range of local beers on tap, wines and spirits, and pub grub such as burgers, fries and hot dogs.

Piw Paw Beer Heaven

Piw Paw has three venues in Warsaw, and all of them have long operating hours. However, for the late-night pub crawlers, or those just out of a nightclub who want that final beer before going home, the Piw Paw on Foksal is a great spot. It is often called Piw Paw Beer Heaven, and it certainly lives up to its title. This cosy venue has over 70 beers on tap, bar snacks and beer bottle tops decorating the walls. It is open 24 hours except for certain holidays. The beauty is the cosy atmosphere, the huge range of beers and the chilled out vibe. It’s also a bit of a secret haunt – from the outside, it doesn’t really look like it could be a 24-hour bar with a seemingly endless selection of global beers, but walk up the steps, turn right through the door and prepare to be surprised.
