Shreveport, the third-largest city in Louisiana, is steeped in American history. It was founded after Captain Henry Shreve made the Red River navigable in the late 1830s, and a town sprung up on its banks. After World War II, the city’s revival came in the form of casinos on the riverfront, which remain popular today. Here’s our pick of the best cheap hotels in Shreveport, bookable through Culture Trip.
