Urban Steam

Stop by this hip hot spot for a fantastic breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinnertime meal. Their most popular meals include Nutella and banana waffles, open-faced egg sandwich on an English muffin, pulled pork Panini, and California salad. The menu features a number of additional dishes, as well as a few kids items for the little ones to enjoy. Although Urban Steam is a great place to fill up on food, it’s also one of the most popular places to get your caffeine fix. Try the Cubano con leche, chai latte, Turkish coffee, iced mocha, and more. Don’t be surprised if you discover quite a few people doing work on their computers or reading a good book. Stop by for happy hour and music later on in the evening; you’ll have a blast.

Coffee shops are a great place to get work done and enjoy a chat with friends; however, they’re especially nice when you want to curl up with your favorite read and indulge in a hot drink. Agia Sophia has made it convenient for you to do just that, by paring a bookstore with a cafe. Sink into one of the plush leather chairs and enjoy hot espresso drinks, iced espresso drinks, blended espresso, French press, tea, cider, hot chocolate and more. There is also a small food menu available, featuring a breakfast quesadilla, vegan wrap, hummus with pita bread, a cup of the soup of the day, and turkey pesto Panini. Peruse the bookshelves and discover books on philosophy, religion, history, and many fictional classics. Agia Sophia is a popular place for book clubs and bible study groups to gather.

Thanks to this Colorado Springs bar, there’s finally a principal’s office you can look forward to going to. The hipster bar offers a wide variety of coffee, tea, and cocktail beverages. Attend the ‘Detention Hour,’ for happy hour specials throughout the week. Pull up a table and order drinks such as a pour over, cappuccino, latte, and espresso. There are freshly baked goods available as well; the pumpkin espresso cupcake is a favorite among locals. The tabletops are made of chalkboard and each table is accompanied with a cup full of white chalk. So, feel free to doodle while you’re waiting for your drink to be made. Or, play a quick game of tic-tac-toe. Be on the lookout for occasional latte art contests. The Principal’s Office is so fantastic that you’ll be looking for ways to get into trouble.

In addition the delicious hot beverages you can enjoy, coffee shops are known for their incredible ambiance; music is a huge part of this. However, rather than listening to folk tunes over speakers, you can enjoy a live performance from local talent here. If you’re brave enough, you can hop on stage yourself; Jives boasts of a very encouraging environment. Even the baristas double as musicians! When they aren’t on stage performing, they’re making delectable drinks, such as the hot spicy mocha, caramel delight, chai latte, café Americano, and more. There are even smoothies on the menu.
