Did you know – Culture Trip now does bookable, small-group trips? Pick from authentic, immersive Epic Trips, compact and action-packed Mini Trips and sparkling, expansive Sailing Trips.
Dolmen Mall Clifton
Karachi’s current favourite spot is Dolmen Mall Clifton – and for many reasons. Its location on Marine Drive near the beach is a prime destination and many of its cafes and restaurants allow for a sea view while dining. However, it’s not just a great place to eat and hang out, but also to shop, with many medium to upscale local brands and designers. Furthermore, this mall has the highest number of international brands available. These include Mango, Caanchi & Lugari, Charles & Keith, Debenhams, Hush Puppies, Longines, Calvin Klein, Tissot, TAG Heuer, Next, Timberland and Tommy Hilfiger, among many others.
With over 200 stores, Lucky One is the biggest mall in Pakistan and it houses anything that visitors desire or require. The mall also has a massive food court with local and international cuisines and a huge hypermart. High-end and medium-range brands are both found here making it great for all kinds of shoppers. Lucky One’s only set back is its location on Rashid Minhas Road, a busy traffic-laden road located in the north of the city away from downtown Karachi. Prominent brands found here include Hush Puppies, Vincci, Splash, Levis, Charles & Keith, Tudor, Skechers, Reebok and Adidas, among others.
Ocean Mall
Sporting a 3D cinema, a trampoline park called Bounce, an indoor theme park by the name of Atlantis, plenty of amazing food options and top local and international brands, Ocean Mall is the one-stop entertainment spot in the city. Moreover, its prime location at Khayaban-e-Iqbal, along with being a tall building, makes it easy to access and affords visitors great views of the area, especially from its rooftop restaurants. Noteworthy international brands include Inglot, Splash, The Body Shop, Reebok, Nike, Pedro, Charles & Keith and Hush Puppies.
Zamzama Street
Zamzama Street in Karachi is home to the country’s most elite local brands, with couture houses where the designers themselves are often found working. Head here to buy the best of Pakistani style from prêt-à-porter (ready-to-wear) to runway designs and haute couture. From kurta and pyjamas to lenghas, sarees and sherwanis, all in dazzling high-quality silks and chiffons with expert craftsmanship can be found here. It’s the perfect place to shop for weddings and other Desi events, like Eid.
Zainab Market
Zainab Market is the heart of Karachi boasting all items, styles and artifacts belonging to various local cultures. It’s not a prime fashion destination but rather a place to shop for cultural fashion, which can then be incorporated into modern styles as statement pieces. Hand embroidered fabrics, shoes, bags and other wearables, along with local pottery, show pieces and stone jewellery made from semi-precious gemstones can all be found here. Zainab Market is a treasure cove full of unpredictable finds. Metal work display pieces, vintage style lamps and ethnic souvenirs are also plenty here.
These are the places that most Karachiites shop at and where they go for the superb entertainment they provide, as no shopping spree is complete without snacks, drinks and fun.
