Hærværk is considered one of Aarhus’ most trendy and high-quality restaurants, and not without a reason. The menu is never the same at Hærværk, as the ingredients they use vary according to season and are usually used in different combinations and recipes. Plus, the prices are quite affordable. Soul Shine is a second-hand and vintage store with a great collection of clothes from the 20th century. Being a non-profit project with a social health and environmental purpose, Soul Shine is run mostly by volunteers and mentally vulnerable people. Aside from a great variety of second-hand clothes, in Soul Shine you’ll also find a café which serves vegetarian dishes inspired by crank food from the 60s.

You may be wondering why a cinema that opened approximately 40 years ago is included in Aarhus’ most hipster hangouts. But we’re sure that if the city’s hip community knew that they could enjoy a Sunday brunch while watching a classic film, Øst for Paradis would be one of their favorite places. The historic cinema was renovated just a few years ago, replacing its old audio and visual equipment with modern ones, more comfortable chairs were put in place of the old ones and a brand new lobby area was added. Even though it went under refurbishment the place didn’t lose a bit of its authentic and cozy atmosphere, and luckily still projects movies you won’t find in other cinemas.
