Comprising of over 2,000 acres of Nebraska’s most beautiful upland and lowland forests, the Fontenelle Forest Nature Center is not to be missed. Here, visitors can hike and explore over 26 miles of trails and enjoy gorgeous views of the center’s natural prairies, lakes, and waterways. The center is also known for their diverse range of plants and animals. There are over 600 species in the center! It is recommended to visit the park multiple times throughout the year in different seasons in order to take in the dramatically changing landscape.

Tregaron Golf Course

Tregaron Golf Course is an excellent place to visit in Bellevue for golf lovers. Open to the public since 1997, the course boasts 6,508 yards of lush golfing green with a par 71 layout. Tregaron Golf Course has beautiful and well-placed mounds and bunkers, all set amongst Bellevue’s natural wetlands, creeks, and lakes. The golfing experience here is both challenging and rewarding.

One of the best small independent shops in Bellevue is the Volcanic Peppers shop. The shop grows their own peppers and are approved and registered by the FDA. The shop offers numerous different kinds off peppers including habanero, sweet and ultra peppers. They also specialize in spices such as cayenne, sauces, and salsas. However, the shop is most famous for their ‘Volcano Dust’ spice mix, comprising a secret combination of dried and smoked peppers.

Bellevue’s American Hero’s Park is about 70 acres large and offers various activities for visitors to partake in. In addition to several football and soccer fields, the park also has maintained paths and trails for guests to enjoy. The park is also undergoing some new upgrades and will soon have a large fountain to aerate the park’s lake, the addition of whitefish to the lake, and a 9/11 memorial.
