With an average of nearly 300 sunny days a year, Phoenix, Arizona, is the perfect spot for some fun in the sun. The Biltmore District of Phoenix holds many of the best aspects of the city. Here are a few things to do when in town.

Biltmore Fashion Park is a favorite attraction in the Phoenix area. This outdoor mall is a main destination for high-end shopping. There are shops like Ralph Lauren, Vera Bradley and Saks Fifth Avenue that will surely tempt you to put a dent in the wallet, as well as oodles of smaller boutiques to find more unique items at. With nearly 70 shops, there are plenty of options for everyone.

This prestigious resort and spa, designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, Albert Chase McArthur, opened its doors in 1929. In its time, the Arizona Biltmore has seen many of the great celebrities, like Marilyn Monroe and musicians like Irving Berlin, and even a few presidents, pass through its doors. Having undergone a number of changes of its 87 years of being open, the impressive spa is one of the largest all-inclusive resorts in the state; it truly is a place to behold and an important part of Phoenix history to boot.

Built in 1931, the Wrigley Mansion is named after the chewing gum tycoon, William Wrigley Jr. This hilltop mansion gives a magnificent view of Phoenix and is a favorite spot for weddings and events. For 25 dollars, visitors can take an extensive tour of the grounds and even have lunch at the famous Geordie Restaurant. The grounds, views, and architecture make this a must-see spot for any tourist in the neighborhood. Oh, and it’s rumored to be haunted!

The Parlor Pizzeria

While there are plenty of things to do in Phoenix, sometimes all one needs is just a great spot to eat. The Parlor is gourmet dining at its best and a favorite with locals and visitors alike. They have some of the best individual pizza and pasta in town. As well as some great wine and cocktail choices. With seasonal ingredients, the chef always keeps things new and exciting at this tasty Italian joint.
