On the Scottsdale art scene for over 20 years, Art One Gallery features emerging artists. The owner, Kraig Foote, is also known throughout the state for giving students a chance to pursue their dream by mentoring and representing those artists from high school to university. With a variety of media highlighted from painting to sculpture, the artworks shown are truly exceptional. Artists the gallery has represented include Jonathan Peter, a painter who works in acrylic and mixed media, Jennifer Gross, a ceramic artist, and photographer Lonny Regnier. The gallery also runs the Newlon-Foote Foundation for Student Artists, which provides financial assistance to public school art programs that are under-funded, awards art scholarships, plus gives art supplies to those students who cannot afford them.

Beginning as an Asian antiques dealer, Calvin Charles Gallery has become one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Scottsdale. An eclectic exhibition space with a diverse group of artworks, this gallery represents mid-career international artists from Asia, Europe, and the Americas plus features art pieces by emerging local talent. An open space with high ceilings and a glass front make it a prime location for artists to display their artworks, including mixed-media works by Pascal and abstract paintings by Patricia Sherwood. Hosting several exhibitions a year, the gallery also has a partnership with The Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa where sculptures are often featured.

An eclectic space with two locations in Scottsdale — one on Marshall Way and the other on Main Street — plus one in Tucson, Wilde Meyer Gallery is an exhibition space featuring a wide array of artists. Talent on the roster includes Amy Watts, who creates colourful almost surrealistic paintings, abstract landscape painter Judy Choate, and glass artist Tom Philabaum. From contemporary and western works to Asian antiques, this gallery is bursting with a host of paintings and sculptures giving art aficionados much to discover. Established in 1983, the gallery hosts several group exhibitions each year, including the current show American Impressions, which explores various well-known American images recreated with a modern twist.

Bonner David Galleries

Founded in 2002 by Christi Bonner Manuelito and Clark David Olson, Bonner David Galleries features two galleries in one space. Wanting to create something different, one side of the gallery highlights traditional artworks whilst the other side displays contemporary art ensuring that art lovers with varying tastes will surely find something to pique their interest. With a passion for realistic, landscape, figurative, plus contemporary art, the owners have put together an impressive group of artists from around the world. Represented talent includes Michael Carson, who creates figurative paintings, Melissa Peck, whose paintings have a playful quality, and Ron Burns, who creates colorful portraits of dogs.

With a strong passion for the arts, Jason Horejs and his wife, Carrie, opened Xanadu Gallery, a well-known eclectic art space on Main Street, in 2001. Displaying paintings, collages, sculptures, and drawings, the gallery represents emerging to established artists from around the world. Add that with the many styles of art featured at any given time and art lovers will always have a plethora of choices. Boasting a collection of paintings, sculptures, and exquisite glass pieces, the gallery host several exhibitions each year plus a biennial glass invitational that attracts top-notch talent. Gebert Contemporary on Main

With locations in New Mexico and California, Gebert Contemporary on Main is the one and only location in Arizona. Founded in 2001, this gallery showcases a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, and video. While most of the artists they represent are mid-career and established, they also feature a smaller group of emerging artists. Talent displayed at the gallery includes ceramic artist Patricia Sannit, painter and sculptor John Randall Nelson, photographer Christopher Makos, and mixed media artist Fausto Fernandez to name but a few. The gallery also hosts several exhibitions each year, which may consist of a solo artist or group show.

Tilt Gallery

From colorful mixed-media works to hauntingly beautiful photographs, Tilt Gallery specializes in photographic works that utilize historical techniques and other alternative processes. Representing a host of emerging and established artists from around the world including local talent, the gallery holds several exhibitions each year showcasing one artist or group. Artists featured at the gallery include Mark Osterman, whose specialty is wet-plate collodion photography, Jenny Lynn, who employs the silver gelatin process, and Diana Bloomfield, who uses a variety of techniques.

Amery Bohling Fine Art Gallery

With a love of art and the outdoors, it was only a matter of time before Amery Bohling combined the two interests and followed her passions professionally. With a BFA from the University of Arizona plus a year spent training at the French art school known as L’Ecole Marchutz, Amery creates stunning light-filled landscapes of the southwest painted en plein air. Seeking a place to display her artworks and a studio space allowing visitors to watch her paint, she opened the Amery Bohling Fine Art Gallery on Main Street. The exhibition space showcases her award-winning paintings plus the narrative artworks of Amy Karnes. Helping budding artists hone their craft, she also teaches art classes and partakes in other educational opportunities.
